Lorenzo Biglia is an energetic regulatory affairs advisor with a global mindset focused on analysing regulatory risks and recommending solutions for the commodity sector with more than 5 years of experience. He contributes to the Correggio Digest and he offers business insights to access several European power and gas markets.
Lorenzo contributed over the years to successful gas and electricity transportation reforms worth millions of Euros, through regulatory lobbying and he supported lawyers for an Italian Competition Authority investigation on wholesale energy market concentration, avoiding losses for millions of Euros. He also has extensive knowledge of European financial regulation including REMIT, EMIR, MiFID II/MiFIR, MAR/MAD where he developed all the internal policies for large utilities.
Lorenzo holds a Master’s Degree in Climate Change, as well as a degree in Business Administration. After graduating, Lorenzo had increasing roles in regulatory affairs in energy companies and consulting. Lorenzo is currently managing Southern Europe power, gas and financial regulation for the European Federation of Energy Traders (EFET) as well as European new market design rules. In 2019, Lorenzo joined Correggio Consulting as a consultant, and he provides business and regulatory support services for the energy market. Working languages are English, Spanish and Italian.
